This song was born right at the end of a frustrating recording session back at The Rooftop Shack. Nothing was going right: equipment failures galore, headaches, hangovers... Ronnie C. and I were about to say "Aw, F**K It" and go grab some beers. "Wait a second," RC said as he sat down on the couch and grabbed the keyboard. I flipped on the ol' four-track and we recorded this Instant Beard Classic.

One summer Ronnie C. and I were chillin' outside my Rooftop Shack having a few drinks, a few smokes-- when suddenly three gunshots rang out. "Man," I said, "I'm sick of all this Gang Activity." Then we went inside and recorded this song.

This is an old psychedelic blues tune that we learned from Little Blind Slim down at the crossroads near the train yard. We recorded this tune in 1922, a full 51 years before we were even born. That's time travel for you!

But seriously-- this was one of the very first songs Ronnie C. and I ever recorded. We recorded this track straight to dictaphone during a tequila-fueled frenzy. 100% Lo-Fi Goodness!
